Transcription (not verbatim)

Where did you live?
We lived in the Manse at Kaimanawa St.

And was there anyone else in that street?
Miss Wilson had a little cottage beside us.

And how long were you at school here? To what age?
Until we were 14, when I left. Until we finished primary school - standard six.

And then where?
I went to Iona. Hina was there before me of course, being older. That was when she was eleven but Rona was a late starter at school.

How long did you go there for Rona?
Three years and Hina went for five. We left in 1925.

Did the boys go to school here?
They started here. See Jack was the eldest. Jack and Freda and Cecil. We all had our primary schooling here - in that one room.
